Japan and US develop joint military plan for potential Taiwan emergency
Japan and the U.S. are developing a joint military plan for a potential emergency in Taiwan, according to Kyodo news agency. The plan is expected to be finalized next month. The strategy includes deploying U.S. missile units to Japan's Nansei Islands and the Philippines. The U.S. Marine Corps will send units equipped with advanced artillery systems to the Nansei Islands. Additionally, a U.S. unit focused on space and cyber operations will be stationed in the Philippines.
