Jeff Bridges confused by Bob Dylan biopic's failure

Jeff Bridges recently shared his thoughts on the biopic A Complete Unknown, which tells the story of his close friend Bob Dylan. Directed by James Mangold, the film stars Timothée Chalamet as Dylan during a time when he controversially switched to electric music. Although the movie received eight Oscar nominations, it failed to win any awards. Bridges expressed some confusion about the film's reception when asked if he had seen it. He praised the performances but seemed uncertain about its overall impact. Dylan himself was pleased with how he was portrayed and called Chalamet a "brilliant actor." Bridges has a long history with music and acting. He worked with Dylan on the 2003 film Masked and Anonymous, where he was even encouraged to give Dylan acting lessons. Bridges recalled fondly how he and Dylan would improvise scenes together, calling him an incredible actor with a strong presence. In his discussions, Bridges shared a memorable moment when Dylan invited him to jam in his trailer. They played the song "You Belong to Me," with Bridges on rhythm guitar and Dylan showcasing his skills as a guitarist. Bridges won an Oscar in 2010 for Crazy Heart and received another nomination in 2011 for his role in True Grit.
