Jeff Bridges confused by Bob Dylan's Oscar-nominated biopic

Jeff Bridges has shared mixed feelings about the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown. The film, directed by James Mangold, tells the story of Dylan during the time he famously “went electric.” It features Timothée Chalamet in the lead role. The movie received eight Oscar nominations but did not win any awards. Bridges is a close friend of Dylan and has worked with him before. He mentioned that he found the film confusing and hinted that it might have been made too early. Despite this, Dylan praised Chalamet's performance, calling him a “brilliant actor.” In an earlier interview, Bridges recalled giving Dylan acting lessons on the set of their 2003 film, Masked and Anonymous. He enjoyed their time together, saying they improvised and explored their roles. “He’s such an incredible actor,” Bridges said. He also shared a memorable moment when Dylan asked if they could jam together, leading to an impromptu music session. Bridges, who won an Oscar in 2010 for Crazy Heart and received a nomination in 2011 for True Grit, continues to speak highly of Dylan’s talent both in music and acting.
