Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell to star in remake
Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell are in talks to star in a remake of the 1992 film "Single White Female." Both actresses will not only act in the movie but will also help produce it. The project is being handled by Elizabeth Gabler's 3000 Pictures, which works with Sony and HarperCollins Publishers. However, Sony has not commented on the remake. The original film featured Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh. It tells the story of Allison Jones, played by Fonda, who moves in a new roommate named Hedra Carlson, played by Leigh. As Allison reconsiders her breakup with her fiancé, Hedra's jealousy turns into violence. Ortega is currently preparing for the second season of "Wednesday" on Netflix and has recently worked on the horror-comedy "Death of a Unicorn" alongside Paul Rudd. Meanwhile, Russell will star with Michael B. Jordan in a remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair," set to be released in theaters.
