Jennifer Mistry plans TV comeback after two-year absence
Jennifer Mistry is preparing to return to television after a time away. The actress, known for her role as Mrs. Roshan Sodhi on "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," has been absent from the screen since she left the show two years ago. Recently, Jennifer attended the News18 Showsha Reel Awards in Mumbai. There, she spoke about her desire to start work again. She mentioned that she had not been socializing or participating in events due to personal reasons and a legal case. Now, she is eager to focus on good projects, particularly web series. Jennifer's time away included a significant legal battle. After leaving "Taarak Mehta," she filed complaints of sexual harassment against the show's project head, Sohail Ramani, and executive producer, Jatin Bajaj. The court found in her favor in February 2024, ordering Asit Kumarr Modi, the show's creator, to pay her outstanding dues and grant her Rs 5 lakh as compensation. Despite the ruling, Jennifer expressed disappointment with the amount awarded, stating that it does not adequately address the mental trauma she experienced. She is now ready to move forward and pursue new opportunities in her career.
