Jet2 expands flight routes from Liverpool for winter 2025

Jet2 has announced new flight options from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Starting this December, the airline will offer more routes for winter sun and Christmas market trips. The demand for these services has led to the addition of flights to Prague and Krakow for holiday travelers. Customers can book flights and city breaks to these destinations between December 19, 2025, and January 5, 2026. Jet2 is also increasing service to popular winter sun spots like Malaga, Alicante, and Faro. New flights include extra Tuesday and Saturday options to Malaga, along with additional services to Alicante and Faro. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, expressed excitement about the expanded program. He thanked customers for their loyalty, saying it allows the airline to offer more flights and flexibility for their winter holidays. Paul Winfield from the airport welcomed Jet2's expansion, noting that it will help more passengers travel from the area's top airport. In related news, Ryanair is also increasing its services from Liverpool, adding a new route to Budapest and enhancing flights on several existing routes for summer 2025. Ryanair criticized a recent tax increase on air passengers, stating that it could hinder growth. According to the airline, the UK government should abolish this tax to remain competitive with other European countries.
