Jets sign Super Bowl winner Derrick Nnadi for rebuild
The New York Jets have signed Derrick Nnadi, a defensive tackle who won three Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs. Nnadi is 28 years old and was drafted in 2018. He played over 100 games for the Chiefs during his seven seasons with the team. Nnadi was on the field for last month's Super Bowl, where the Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite being sidelined by injury, he helped Kansas City win a championship in 2023. The Jets are starting a new chapter under head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey. They aim to rebuild the team after missing the playoffs for 14 years in a row. The team has also signed quarterback Justin Fields, who turned down an offer from the Pittsburgh Steelers to join the Jets. Fields had a successful season with the Steelers before moving to New York.
