Jets to draft tight end Tyler Warren for Fields
The New York Jets are planning to enhance their team around quarterback Justin Fields in the upcoming NFL Draft. Fields is set to be the starting quarterback, and the Jets want to provide him with more options besides star receiver Garrett Wilson. The Jets hold the seventh overall pick and are expected to target tight end Tyler Warren from Penn State, according to predictions. Warren had an impressive final season, making 104 catches for 1,233 yards and scoring eight touchdowns. He also rushed for 218 yards and four touchdowns. Analysts believe that Warren would bring valuable skills to help Fields in the new offensive system. He could make it easier for Fields to connect on intermediate routes. The Jets currently have tight end Tyler Conklin, who is a free agent. However, Warren could still be a great fit regardless of Conklin's status. If the Jets see Warren as a key addition, they may choose to draft him at No. 7. Although tight ends aren’t often selected that high, many believe Warren's talent makes him a worthwhile pick for the team.
