JI protests Israeli actions against Palestinians in Peshawar

Jamat-i-Islami (JI) activists held a rally in Peshawar on Friday to protest against recent violence by Israel towards Palestinians. The demonstration took place outside the US Consulate General and was led by local JI leaders. The speakers at the rally condemned Israel's actions, claiming they have been conducting a violent campaign against Palestinians for over a year. They reported that more than 60,000 people, including many women and children, have died as a result of Israeli bombings. They also stated that recent attacks during Ramadan led to over 400 deaths. The protesters warned of further actions, including demonstrations outside the US embassy in Islamabad, if Israel does not cease its attacks. In the Lower Dir area, JI members also protested against Israel, accusing the US of complicity in the violence against Palestinians. Various JI leaders expressed serious concerns about the situation in Palestine and called for a unified response from the Muslim community. They criticized the perceived inaction of Muslim countries against Israel and highlighted concerns about rising terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a separate protest in Chitral, participants gathered to show solidarity with Palestine and condemned Israeli ceasefire violations. The speakers urged the government to unite the Muslim world against perceived injustices faced by Palestinians. They emphasized the need for collective action against US involvement in the region.
