Jimmy Carter's 100th birthday celebrated with concert and new homes for families
Former President Jimmy Carter's 100th birthday on October 1 will be celebrated with a benefit concert and the construction of 30 new homes. The concert, held in Atlanta, raised funds for international programs aimed at promoting peace and health. Thousands of volunteers, led by country music stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, are building homes in St. Paul, Minnesota. This effort continues Carter's long-standing commitment to Habitat for Humanity, which he has supported for 40 years. Carter's philanthropic work includes efforts to eradicate Guinea worm disease, with significant progress made since he began this initiative. Despite entering hospice care in early 2023, he remains engaged with his projects and continues to inspire many through his dedication.
