Jinnah House in Mumbai reflects legacy of Pakistan's founding father
Jinnah House, also known as South Court Mansion, was built in 1936 for Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Mumbai. It served as a key location for discussions about the creation of Pakistan. Jinnah lived there until 1947, before moving to Karachi. The mansion has remained unoccupied since Jinnah's departure. After his death, it was leased to the British High Commission. In 2007, Jinnah's daughter, Dina Wadia, sought to claim the property, but the Indian government upheld Jinnah's will, designating his sister Fatima as the sole heir. Currently, the house is under the control of the Custodian of Enemy Property, as Fatima Jinnah moved to Pakistan. The property remains a historical site, reflecting Jinnah's legacy and unfulfilled dreams.
