J.J. Abrams' 'Duster' series premieres on Max July 3
J.J. Abrams is launching a new crime thriller series called "Duster" on Max. The official teaser trailer for the show was released earlier this week. "Duster" will consist of eight episodes and is set to debut this summer. The series is centered around Rachel Hilson's character, Nina, who is the first Black female FBI agent in 1972. She travels to the Southwest to team up with a getaway driver named Jim, played by Josh Holloway. Together, they work to dismantle a growing crime syndicate. This project marks a reunion between Abrams and Holloway, who previously worked together on "Lost." The cast also includes Keith David, Sydney Elisabeth, Greg Grunberg, Camille Guaty, Asivak Koostachin, Adriana Aluna Martinez, and Benjamin Charles Watson. The trailer features a meeting between Nina and Jim, showcasing their dynamic. The first two episodes are co-written by Abrams and LaToya Morgan. Abrams serves as an executive producer for the series, alongside Rachel Rusch Rich. "Duster" is set to premiere on July 3.
