JMM unveils election manifesto promising 33% reservation for women in government jobs
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections, promising 33% reservation for women in government jobs and loan waivers for small and medium traders. The focus areas also include agriculture and education. Voting for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will occur in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results announced on November 23. Approximately 2.6 crore voters are eligible to participate, including first-time and young voters. In the previous 2019 elections, JMM won 30 seats, while the BJP secured 25 and Congress 16. In 2014, BJP had a stronger showing with 37 seats, compared to JMM's 19 and Congress's 6.
