Jo Frost calls unsupervised teeth brushing parental neglect
Jo Frost, known as Supernanny, criticized parents for not supervising their young children's teeth brushing, calling it "parental neglect." Her comments followed the launch of a new toothbrushing scheme in schools by health minister Stephen Kinnock. The scheme aims to improve oral health among children aged three to five, particularly in poorer areas. It will provide support for proper teeth brushing with fluoride toothpaste, starting in April. Frost expressed concern over the increasing responsibilities placed on teachers and suggested that parents should take more responsibility for their children's hygiene. The government plans to support up to 600,000 children annually through this initiative.
