Joe Tate plots extreme measures for kidney donation

Next week on Emmerdale, fans will witness Joe Tate taking extreme measures to receive a kidney donation from his uncle, Caleb Milligan. Joe is suffering from chronic kidney disease and needs a transplant to survive. Earlier this year, he tried to sedate his half-brother, Noah Dingle, for his kidney, but Noah turned out to be an unsuitable match. Joe then set his sights on Caleb. Using deceit, he convinced Dr. Manpreet Sharma to trust him by pretending to pay off a blackmailer. He tricked her into giving him a blood sample from Caleb. The test showed that Caleb was a match for Joe’s transplant needs. The story gets darker as Joe plans to put Caleb in danger. Dr. Crowley, Joe's physician, is hesitant to proceed with the scheme without handling Ross Barton, who is watching Joe for Kim Tate. When Ross leaves to attend to a family emergency, Joe decides to move forward with his dangerous plan. In shocking developments, Joe and an accomplice named Gina try to drug Caleb. When the plan fails, Joe resorts to violence and orders Shaun to stab Caleb and take his car. They rush the injured Caleb to a private surgery where Dr. Crowley is waiting. During surgery, Caleb's condition worsens, putting his life in jeopardy as Dr. Crowley fights to save him. Meanwhile, Ross and Charity Dingle are on a search for Joe.
