John Leguizamo hints at potential "Encanto 2" sequel
Actor John Leguizamo, who voiced the character Bruno in "Encanto," has hinted that a sequel may be in the works. In a recent interview, he mentioned that the team is trying to develop a storyline for "Encanto 2." Leguizamo said he is eagerly checking in with them, asking, “When is No. 2 coming?” He also expressed that he would like Bruno to have a bigger role in the potential sequel. He joked about wanting a film focused on Bruno, referencing the popular song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” "Encanto," released in 2021, was a big hit, earning over $256 million worldwide and winning an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The soundtrack was also popular, with "We Don’t Talk About Bruno" reaching No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the highest-charting Disney song in many years. The film tells the story of the Madrigal family, a Colombian family blessed with magical powers, except for Mirabel, voiced by Stephanie Beatriz. Disney has not yet confirmed plans for a sequel.
