John Leguizamo's wife enjoys reconnecting on Facebook
John Leguizamo recently shared that his wife, Justine Maurer, has just discovered Facebook. The actor explained she loves the platform because it helps her reconnect with old friends from school. Leguizamo, who is 64, is currently starring in a new dramedy titled "Bob Trevino Likes It." In the film, a young woman named Lily mistakenly believes that Leguizamo's character, Bob, is her estranged father. The movie explores themes of family and connection. In discussing Facebook, Leguizamo noted that while the platform may seem outdated, it still serves a important role in connecting older generations. He mentioned how much joy Maurer has found in reaching out to people from her past. On set, Leguizamo developed a friendship with Barbie Ferreira, who plays Lily. They bonded over their shared Latinx backgrounds and experiences growing up in Queens, New York. They also spent time together off-camera to create a strong connection for their roles. Leguizamo is a father to two children with Maurer: Allegra and Lucas. He praised Allegra's talent, as she follows in his footsteps in the film industry. Her short film will premiere soon, and she will appear alongside her father in an upcoming movie. Although he had concerns about his daughter entering show business, he feels confident she is pursuing it for the right reasons. He believes that if someone is focused on the craft rather than fame, they will find happiness in their work. "Bob Trevino Likes It" is currently in select theaters and will have a wider release on March 28.
