Joint security drill held at AIIMS Awantipora, Kashmir

On Wednesday, security forces held a joint mock drill at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Awantipora, located in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. The facility is still under construction, and police have not explained the reason for the drill. According to a police spokesman, the exercise aimed to enhance security preparedness. The Awantipora police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the army took part in the drill. During the exercise, the forces practiced counter-insurgency tactics, rescue operations, and evacuation procedures. The drill focused on securing important infrastructure within the Awantipora police district. The spokesman highlighted that advanced equipment and tactical maneuvers were used to improve emergency response effectiveness. Senior officers from the police, army, and CRPF were present to supervise the event.
