Jon and Marcelle Scheyer have three children together

Jon Scheyer, the head coach for Duke men's basketball, and his wife, Marcelle, have a beautiful love story. Jon, 37, played for the Duke Blue Devils from 2006 to 2010. After his college career, he played professionally in Israel and Spain. He returned to Durham in 2013 to be an assistant coach and became the head coach in June 2021, succeeding the famous Mike Krzyzewski. Marcelle, also 37, completed her Master’s in Nursing at Duke University in 2016. The couple has three children: daughter Noa, 7 years old; son Jett, 5; and son James, 2. Their relationship began in August 2015 when Jon proposed to Marcelle during his time as an assistant coach. They got married in May 2017 in Chicago, close to Jon’s hometown. In February 2018, they welcomed their first child, Noa. Jon shared his joy on social media, saying, "And then life was never the same." On Jon's birthday in August 2019, they welcomed their second child, Jett. Jon called it the "best birthday present ever." They celebrated their third wedding anniversary in May 2020, with Jon expressing his love in a heartfelt post. In May 2021, Jon celebrated Mother’s Day, honoring both Marcelle and his own mother. The couple's third child, James, was born in May 2022, and Jon shared family photos to celebrate.
