Jordan Hobbs emotionally bids farewell to Michigan basketball

Jordan Hobbs, a senior guard for the Michigan Wolverines, said an emotional goodbye after her final game. The Wolverines lost 76-55 to Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament. Hobbs expressed gratitude as she reflected on her time at Michigan. She thanked her coach for believing in her after she decommitted from another school. Hobbs played four seasons for Michigan, moving from a bench player to a key starter. During her senior season, Hobbs improved her performance. She averaged nearly 14 points and five rebounds per game. Her scoring was crucial in several games, including impressive performances against South Carolina, Indiana, and Iowa State. Coach Kim Barnes Arico praised Hobbs for her competitiveness and leadership. Hobbs, along with fellow senior Greta Kampschroeder, helped maintain team spirit during tough times, especially after important players transferred out. Hobbs leaves Michigan with notable achievements, including being named to the all-academic Big Ten team. The Wolverines reached the NCAA Tournament every year of her college career. Feeling thankful, Hobbs stated her love for Michigan and its community. She plans to continue supporting the university even after her graduation.
