Jordan Walker returns after knee injury for Cardinals
Jordan Walker returned to the St. Louis Cardinals' lineup on Saturday after missing 10 games due to a left knee injury. He played five innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, going hitless but drawing a walk and running the bases. Before his injury, Walker had two hits and two RBIs in six Grapefruit League games. His return comes as the regular season approaches, with opening day set for March 27. Manager Oliver Marmol indicated Walker will get more at-bats to prepare. In other news, right-hander Riley O’Brien was optioned to the minors after three scoreless innings this spring. Roddery Munoz was also sent to minor-league camp, having impressed with a 2.57 ERA in six appearances.
