Jos Buttler joins Gujarat Titans for £1.4 million in IPL auction

Jos Buttler has been sold to the Gujarat Titans for £1.4 million in the IPL auction, moving from the Rajasthan Royals. His former team made strong bids but could not retain him. Rishabh Pant set a new IPL record as the most expensive player, sold to Lucknow Super Giants for £2.54 million. This record was broken twice within the first hour of the auction. Mitchell Starc was sold to Delhi Capitals for £1 million, a decrease from his previous price of £2.3 million. The IPL season will begin on March 14, 2025, and run until May 25.
