Jos Buttler was sold to the Gujarat Titans for Rs 15.75 crore during the IPL 2025 auction. He entered the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore after being released by the Rajasthan Royals. The Royals opted to retain other players, including Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, leading to Buttler's departure. He had a successful stint with the Royals, scoring 3,055 runs in 83 matches. In addition to Buttler, the Punjab Kings acquired Arshdeep Singh and Shreyas Iyer, while Kagiso Rabada joined the Titans. Mitchell Starc was sold to the Delhi Capitals, and Rishabh Pant went to the Lucknow Super Giants.
