Journeys store in Johnson City closes March 22

A store in Oakdale Commons, Johnson City, is closing down. Journeys, a popular shoe retailer, will shut its doors for the last time on Saturday, March 22, at 9 p.m. An employee confirmed the closing but did not provide details about why the store is closing. Journeys is one of several stores leaving the shopping center. However, Oakdale Commons is also seeing some openings. A Five Guys restaurant will open in the space once occupied by Ruby Tuesday. Additionally, a Five Below store is planned to open later this year. The corporate office of Journeys has not yet replied to requests for comment regarding the closure.
