JR Motorsports selects No. 40 for Daytona 500 with Justin Allgaier and Chris Stapleton partnership

JR Motorsports will enter the Daytona 500 for the first time with reigning Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier driving the No. 40 Chevrolet. The car is sponsored by Chris Stapleton's Traveller Whiskey. Dale Earnhardt Jr. explained that the No. 40 connects to Traveller's whiskey blend. He noted that the number selection was limited due to existing assignments in the Cup Series. Allgaier, who won the Xfinity championship in 2024, expressed excitement about this opportunity. The Daytona 500 is set for February 16, 2025.
