JSS Hospital unveils advanced neurosurgical microscope in Mysuru
Mysuru: JSS Hospital has introduced the KINEVO 900, a new advanced neurosurgical microscope made by CARL ZEISS. The microscope was officially launched by SP Manjunath, who is the secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. Several senior neurosurgeons from JSS Hospital attended the event. They discussed the benefits of the KINEVO 900. Prof. Dr. (Col.) TS Vasan, head of the neurosurgery department, called it a "game-changer." He highlighted that the microscope improves visibility, stability, and allows for minimally invasive surgeries. This means operations can be shorter, complications can be reduced, and patients can recover faster. Dr. MD Krishna Narayanan emphasized that the technology enables more precise and confident surgeries. He noted that high-resolution images and robotic assistance make surgeries safer and more efficient. This is great news for both patients and surgeons. The KINEVO 900 was previously not available in Mysuru. Its introduction is expected to make complex brain and spine surgeries safer and more effective. This addition is seen as a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of medical procedures at the hospital. Key officials from JSS Hospital and JSS Mahavidyapeetha were present for the launch.
