JSS STU in Mysuru to hold 7th convocation Monday

On Monday, JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) in Mysuru will hold its 7th convocation ceremony. A total of 1,678 students will graduate during this event. The degrees being awarded include 992 Bachelor of Engineering (BE), 51 Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), 90 Master of Technology (MTech), 114 Master of Computer Applications (MCA), 140 Master of Science (MSc), 282 Master of Business Administration (MBA), and nine PhDs. The convocation will start at 4 p.m. Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami of Suttur Math will preside over the event and present degrees and medals. The Chief Secretary of Karnataka, Shalini Rajneesh, will be the chief guest and will give the convocation address. JSS STU vice-chancellor A.N. Santosh Kumar shared at a press conference that 148 ranks and 64 medals will be awarded for outstanding academic performance. Of these, 30 gold medals will go to students with the highest marks in their fields. The vice-chancellor noted that graduates are ready to become "next-generation change agents" in research, industry, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, JSS STU will introduce five new academic programs next year. These include MSc in electronics and semiconductor technology, MSc in economics, and two BE programs focused on artificial intelligence, as well as one for differently-abled students. To enhance learning opportunities, JSS STU has signed several agreements with national and global organizations for research and internships. These collaborations will provide students with practical experience in fields like engineering and artificial intelligence. Key university officials, including the principal and registrar, were present at the announcement.
