Judge consolidates Harvey Weinstein's sex crime cases into one trial in New York

A judge has ruled to combine Harvey Weinstein's sex crime cases into one trial. This decision follows a request from the district attorney's office to merge new charges with a case being retried after his previous conviction was overturned. The new indictment includes allegations of a first-degree criminal sexual act against an unnamed woman from 2006. Weinstein is also facing charges related to incidents involving former actress Jessica Mann and production assistant Miriam Haley. Weinstein's lawyers opposed the consolidation. He is scheduled to return to court on January 29 for further motions.
