JUI-F leader Qari Nizamuddin shot dead in Attock

A leader of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) was shot dead in Attock on Friday night. This incident appears to be a targeted killing, according to party sources. Qari Nizamuddin, who served as the city's deputy emir, was returning home after prayers at a local mosque. He was attacked by masked gunmen near Khattak Colony and died immediately from the gunshots. Police and law enforcement responded quickly to the scene and gathered evidence. His body was later taken to the District Headquarters Hospital. On Saturday, a funeral was held, and he was buried in his hometown of Jhammt in tehsil Jand. JUI-F Punjab chief Maulana Mahmood Mian criticized the provincial government. He expressed concern about its inability to protect citizens and condemned the ongoing attacks on JUI-F leaders.
