Justin Brownlee may miss Game 4 of Finals
Justin Brownlee, the import player for Barangay Ginebra, is uncertain to play in Game 4 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals. He dislocated his right thumb during Game 3 against TNT Tropang Giga. Ginebra's coach, Tim Cone, shared this information on Thursday. Brownlee sustained the injury while diving for a loose ball with 6:42 remaining in the third quarter. He was taken to the locker room and later to a hospital for further evaluation. Despite his injury, Ginebra managed to take a lead in the fourth quarter but ultimately lost the game 87-85. Coach Cone stated that while Brownlee is doubtful for Game 4, he has not been ruled out completely. Ginebra is considering their options but has not decided on replacing Brownlee, as fans have suggested on social media. According to league rules, they can replace imports before noon the day before a game. Brownlee has been a key player for Ginebra, averaging 27.3 points and 10 rebounds in the series. Game 4 is crucial for the Gin Kings, who need to win to tie the best-of-seven series at 2-2.
