K Kavitha criticizes Telangana government for loan transparency
BRS leader K Kavitha has criticized the Telangana government for being unclear about its use of Rs 1.53 lakh crore to pay off debts from previous administrations. She claims that when her party raised questions in the Assembly, government officials did not provide satisfactory answers. Kavitha pointed out that the Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister avoided specific inquiries. In her view, their statements did not match the information in the budget documents. She expressed frustration over the lack of transparency and suggested that the BRS might file a privilege motion in the Assembly soon. The BRS organized a protest at the Telangana Legislative Council to challenge the recent loans taken by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's government. Kavitha stated that she believes Reddy has misled the public regarding these loans and is demanding a detailed account of loans from the past 15 months. Kavitha is also disputing Reddy's claims about the total amount of loans acquired to settle past debts. She has emphasized the need for clarity on the government's financial dealings to ensure citizens understand the situation.
