Kadokawa debuts Asian-focused titles at Hong Kong FilMart
Japan's Kadokawa is showcasing new titles at Hong Kong FilMart, targeting the Asian market. The completed film "My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999" features popular stars and has secured distribution in Thailand, with more negotiations ongoing. Another title, "Love Song," is a romantic comedy in post-production, directed by Thai filmmaker Weerachit Thongila. It stars Win Morisaki and Koji Mukai, and is set in Tokyo and Bangkok. Distribution talks for Thailand are also in progress. Earlier this year, Sony became Kadokawa's largest shareholder, aiming to adapt their intellectual property into live-action films and expand global distribution of their anime works.
