Kaiju No. 8 movie and season two confirmed

Kaiju No. 8 is returning with exciting updates. The popular anime will come back for a second season this summer. Before that, fans can enjoy a recap movie titled Mission Recon, which summarizes the first season. The anime follows Kafka, who ended the last season imprisoned after struggling with his powers. He attempts to prove himself to the Defense Force, leading to a new chapter under the command of Gen Narumi. Gen, who appears to be a gamer nerd, surprises everyone with his fighting skills. He demands that his team displays their strength as they face bigger monsters. Mission Recon will include a 119-minute recap of the first season. It also features a new original episode where characters Reno and Iharu follow their friend Hoshina on a day off. The movie will be in theaters on April 13, 14, and 16, with subtitles in Japanese and an English dub available in the US and Canada. The new ending theme for the episode is “Invincible,” performed by OneRepublic. Tickets for Mission Recon are now on sale. Fans can look forward to new episodes of Kaiju No. 8 airing on Crunchyroll starting in July.
