Kalamazoo police identify shooting victim as Shaughqual Anderson

Police have identified the man who was shot and killed in Kalamazoo. He is 23-year-old Shaughqual Laqia Anderson. The shooting happened around 10:43 p.m. on Cadillac Street, west of Douglas Avenue. Officers received reports of gunfire and arrived at the scene shortly after. Anderson was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead by 11:13 p.m. Investigators are still looking into the incident. They are asking anyone with information to come forward.
