Karen G. Narwold joins Standard Lithium's board of directors

Standard Lithium Ltd. has announced that Karen G. Narwold has joined its board of directors as an independent member. The company is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is focused on lithium production. Robert Cross, the company's Non-Executive Chairman, expressed excitement over Narwold's appointment. He noted her more than 30 years of experience in leadership roles, especially in manufacturing and chemicals. Most recently, Narwold worked at Albemarle Corporation as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. David Park, Standard Lithium's CEO, highlighted Narwold's significant experience in legal and operational matters. He believes her background will help the company as it aims to become a leader in lithium production. Before her tenure at Albemarle, Narwold held roles at Barzel Industries and GrafTech International. She is also a board member of Ingevity Corporation, where she chairs the Sustainability & Safety Committee. Standard Lithium specializes in sustainable lithium development. The company focuses on high-grade lithium-brine properties in the U.S., particularly in Arkansas and Texas. They are working on several projects to achieve commercial-scale lithium production.
