Karnataka Deputy CM to attend puja at Talacauvery
Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will visit Talacauvery, the birthplace of the River Cauvery, on Friday. He is expected to arrive at Bhagamandala by helicopter around 8 AM. Shivakumar will be joined by local MLAs AS Ponnanna from Virajpet and Manthar Gowda from Madikeri. During this visit, he will participate in a special puja at the Talacauvery temple. This puja is part of a larger ceremony, the Cauvery Aarti, scheduled for Bengaluru. After completing the rituals, he will return to Bengaluru with the sacred Cauvery Theertha. The Karnataka government plans to hold the grand Cauvery Aarti event at Sankey Tank in Bengaluru on the evening of March 21. This event is inspired by the famous Ganga Aarti from Varanasi and will feature priests flown in from that pilgrimage city in Uttar Pradesh.
