Kauf and Gravenfors lead moguls qualifications in Switzerland

The 2025 FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships are underway in St. Moritz, Switzerland. After two days of practice, the Moguls qualifications began on Tuesday. The competition format is different than the usual World Cup, with qualifications split into two rounds. In the first round, the top 10 athletes automatically advanced to the finals. The remaining competitors went through a second round to secure the last spots for the finals, making a total of 20 finalists. In the women's event, Jaelin Kauf from the USA led the pack. She had an impressive performance, finishing in first place. Rino Yanagimoto from Japan came in second, while Perrine Laffont from France placed third. Kauf is excited about her chances at the World Championships. She has had a great season, winning all three Crystal Globes. After earning two silver medals at the 2023 World Championships, she is focused on winning gold this time. "I’d love to build off those finishes and the momentum from this season," Kauf said. She is aiming for the World Championship title in Switzerland.
