Kayadu Lohar gains recognition after Dragon’s success

Kayadu Lohar is a rising star in the Tamil film industry. She gained fame with her role in the movie Dragon, which marked her debut. The film's success has brought her much appreciation for her performance. Kayadu wants to inspire young girls, especially those from lower middle-class backgrounds, to pursue their dreams. She spoke about her journey, highlighting the challenges faced by girls like her. “It's difficult for a girl from a lower middle-class family to follow and fulfill her dreams,” she said. Her mother played a significant role in her career. She encouraged Kayadu to take part in Times Fresh Face Season 12 during her college holidays. Winning the competition opened doors for her in the entertainment industry. This led to her first advertising project and eventually her debut Kannada film. Kayadu has loved acting since she was a child. She would dance and imitate famous actresses like Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi. Though it took time for her to decide to follow her passion, she always had the talent for it. With the success of Dragon, Kayadu feels recognized in the industry. She said, “The response that Dragon has received has been surreal. Directors and producers now see potential in me.” She is now getting offers for projects she has always dreamed of. Following Dragon, Kayadu will appear in a coming-of-age Tamil film called Idhayam Murali, alongside Atharvaa, and in a film with Silambarasan TR. She is excited about her growing opportunities in the film industry.
