Keith D. Robinson joins CBS's "Beyond The Gates" cast

Keith D. Robinson has joined the cast of CBS daytime soap "Beyond the Gates" as a series regular. He is replacing Maurice Johnson in the role of Dr. Ted Richardson. Robinson's first episodes will air in May. Recastings are common in daytime soap operas. Dr. Richardson is a talented plastic surgeon married to Dr. Nicole Richardson, played by Daphnee Duplaix. The show is set in a wealthy Maryland suburb near Washington, D.C. "Beyond the Gates" features a diverse cast including Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, and Karla Mosley. The soap is produced by CBS and the NAACP Venture and is notable for being the first one-hour Black daytime soap. The show made a strong start, attracting over 5.2 million unique viewers in its first week. Robinson has appeared in other productions, including ABC's "A Million Little Things" and films like "Dreamgirls." He is represented by Pakula/King and Vault Entertainment.
