Kendra Wilkinson discusses lasting impact of Hefner relationship

Kendra Wilkinson recently talked about her past relationship with Hugh Hefner and how it affected her views on sex and relationships. During an episode of the "Amy & T.J." podcast, she said, "I struggle still to this day with my relationships and my views on sex." She revealed that therapy helped her realize she might have a "sex problem." Wilkinson became one of Hefner's main girlfriends in 2004, after meeting him at his birthday party when she was just 18. She moved into the Playboy mansion with other girlfriends, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, but ended her relationship with Hefner in 2009. During the podcast, she reflected on how Hefner's lifestyle changed her perspective on relationships. She mentioned that her time at the mansion led to "unhealthy thoughts" about marriage and relationships. Although she enjoyed herself there, she stated she was never in it for the romantic reasons that others were. After leaving Hefner, Wilkinson married NFL player Hank Baskett in 2009. They had two children together but divorced in 2018. Wilkinson described her time with Baskett as "the happiest days of my entire life," but she also mentioned that the divorce was a difficult moment for her. After six years of therapy, she said she is now in a better place and has found peace of mind. She believes she is "living in the state of peace of mind" now, thanks to therapy and medication.
