Kent mother arrested for drug-driving with children
A mother in Kent, Hayley Berry, was arrested for drug-driving after a passer-by took her car keys while she was unable to drive her children to school. This incident occurred last November when she stopped her car in the middle of the road. Berry, 36, admitted to drug-driving with a cocaine byproduct level of 83 micrograms per liter, exceeding the legal limit of 50. She also had GHB in her system but was not over the limit for that substance. The court sentenced Berry to eight weeks in jail, suspended for 12 months, and ordered her to complete 100 hours of unpaid work. She was disqualified from driving for 30 months and must pay court costs.
