Kent Police highlights successful proactive crime-fighting efforts
Kent Police's Crime Reduction Unit has shared recent cases highlighting proactive policing efforts. In one incident, a suspect attempted to escape police in a stolen car but was apprehended after crashing. The investigation revealed stolen IDs, guns, and drugs in the vehicle. In another case, police chased a driver of a stolen Dodge Dakota. The 41-year-old suspect surrendered after running into a ditch. He had multiple warrants and was found with stolen IDs and fentanyl in the car. Additionally, officers arrested a man sleeping in a running car who had a domestic violence warrant. Another arrest involved a man violating a no-contact order after an assault. Both cases involved drug discoveries during searches.
