Around 26.16 lakh students in Kerala will receive 4 kg of rice each as part of the school midday meal scheme. This distribution comes ahead of the upcoming school holidays in April. The initiative will benefit students from pre-primary to Class VIII who are registered in the midday meal program. The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) will provide a total of 17,417 tonnes of rice for this purpose. An official order has been issued to the Director of General Education to carry out this distribution.
