Kerala expects rainfall and issues yellow alert

The India Meteorological Department has announced that Kerala will experience rainfall over the next five days. This weather change comes as a relief from the recent high temperatures. A yellow alert has been issued for several districts starting March 22. The districts affected are Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad. These areas could see moderate to heavy rainfall, with amounts between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm in a 24-hour period. On March 23, the yellow alert will remain for Malappuram and Wayanad. From March 24 to March 26, light rainfall is expected across all 14 districts of the state. The forecast predicts precipitation ranging from 15.6 mm to 64.4 mm during this period.
