Kerala launches AI workforce scheme for healthcare improvement
Thiruvananthapuram: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has launched the Global Developer Corps AI workforce scheme in partnership with the National Health Mission. This program aims to equip students with AI skills to address healthcare challenges through the Kerala Palliative Care Grid. The initiative will run from 2024 to 2029, offering internships with stipends up to Rs 27,000 per month for successful candidates. The first 40 students completing the program will receive six-month paid internships focused on AI solutions for home-based care. The Kerala Palliative Care Grid will enhance patient data sharing and treatment coordination. This project aims to improve home healthcare services, ensuring timely and compassionate care while positioning Kerala as a leader in AI-driven healthcare innovation.
