Kerala man poisoned and robbed by cab driver in Pratapgarh

A man from Kerala was poisoned and robbed by a cab driver and an accomplice in Pratapgarh. This incident occurred while he was traveling from Varanasi airport to Amethi on Wednesday. The victim, Dr. G Kiran Jesua, had booked a cab for his journey. The cab driver offered him a cold drink and snacks that were laced with drugs. After consuming them, Dr. Jesua felt ill and asked the driver to pull over. As he stepped out of the car to vomit, the cab driver and his accomplice took off with his belongings. They stole two iPhones, his clothes, and ₹32,000 in cash. Dr. Jesua lost consciousness but later reported the crime to the police. Authorities have opened a case and formed three teams to find the suspects. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify them. The investigation is ongoing.
