Kerala has inaugurated its 11th Sparsh Seva Kendra (SSC) in Kanhangad, aimed at supporting defence pensioners. This new center will serve around 4,000 pensioners in the Kasaragod area. With the Kozhikode SSC opening next month, Kerala is close to having SSCs in all districts, needing only Idukki and Malappuram to be covered. The SSCs help with various pension-related services, including disbursal and updates. Approximately 90% of India's defence pensioners have already transitioned to the web-based Sparsh module.
