Kerala workers find 23 liquor bottles during cleanup
Labourers in Kerala found 23 liquor bottles while cleaning a residential area on Wednesday. They were working under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in the Maima region of Kanthilot, Padanna panchayat. The workers were clearing overgrown bushes when they discovered three bags filled with the bottles. Out of 23 bottles, 18 were partially filled, four were sealed, and one was a two-litre bottle. After the discovery, the workers alerted the Chanthera police. Police quickly arrived at the scene, and local residents came to watch. The workers disposed of the liquor by pouring it out in front of them. Residents mentioned they had seen suspicious individuals arriving in cars and motorcycles at night. There are growing concerns in the community about such activities. Locals are currently organizing to address these issues.
