Kharge criticizes Union government for neglecting education
AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Union government for neglecting the education sector. He stated that funding cuts have halted teacher recruitment, leaving many positions vacant in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya schools. Kharge highlighted that around 90,000 schools have closed across India, with significant closures in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He noted a rise in private schools by 40% during this period. Additionally, he mentioned that 13,000 students from marginalized communities are dropping out of the education system.
