Kichha MLA accuses university officer of extortion, abuse

Kichha MLA Tilak Raj Behar has made serious accusations against the chief security officer of Govind Ballabh Pant University. Behar alleges that the officer, Jitendra Singh Bohra, beat a man, forced him to pose in a humiliating way, and stripped him. He also claims that Bohra extorted money from security guards and made them do manual labor. Behar posted videos and photos on social media that he says show these incidents happening last month. He insists that Bohra's actions are unacceptable and violate human rights. Behar plans to take this evidence to the governor and a human rights panel in Dehradun. In response, Bohra said that the man in the video was caught stealing and that his team acted in self-defense. He claims he is doing his job according to university guidelines. Meanwhile, a university professor, who wishes to remain anonymous, reported that Bohra has been relieved of his duties. The vice chancellor's office has issued a formal notice regarding this decision.
